NetIDme has produced a short video to coincide with the 5th European Safer Internet Day. The video contains advice for parents worried about their children’s internet use. The video can be viewed on the ChatShield website
Safer Internet Day is taking place on 12 February 2008 with participants from almost 40 countries across the world. Safer Internet Day is a yearly event, organised by Insafe, the European internet safety network. There are a number of activities planned for the day with the aim of celebrating safer internet use and raising awareness of the online risks that the web can pose to children. In the UK, school children will be taking part by participating in the 2008 Blogathon along with 50 other countries.
The blogathon will be launched by Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media, and will progress from

“Google, IBM, VeriSign and Yahoo have joined the board of the OpenID Foundation”
This action being seen as the first steps of allowing OpenID being used as the main login to major web sites.
